The writing career kicked off around 2003 with a few poems and short stories being published in various anthologies. Then I was asked to write a series of 3-5 minute comedy skits by a local church drama group. These went down well and, along with topical material being used at the Canal Cafe theatre in London, I had enough encouragement to press on.
I recently subbed a radio drama to BBC Writersroom. The first thing I ever sent them was an early sitcom pilot which I hadn’t understood at the time needed more plot rather than character establishment. They still gave me some encouraging critique though. Currently working on a couple more radio plays but always open to offers of paid work!
Music and songwriting has also played a significant part in my life so every now and then something bubbles up.
Poetry will inevitably appear here soon and a short story or two if I can extract them from dead computer.
